As a project planner, or project scheduler, is responsible for developing, executing, and reviewing projects to ensure they meet business goals. You’ll work closely with project managers to define project scope, create timelines, estimate resource needs, and track progress. Project planners also play a key role in identifying and mitigating risks, communicating with stakeholders, and managing budgets.
Responsibilities of a Project Planner:
- Create and manage project plans with timelines, milestones, and resources
- Track project progress and identify and resolve potential issues early on
- Manage project resources effectively to ensure that projects are completed efficiently
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders regularly
- Prepare and present project reports and documentation
- Identify and implement project risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in project planning or a related role
- Strong project planning and scheduling skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possesses strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
